Which Son?
I love this parable! A father had two sons, he asked the first son to work in the vineyard. The first son said no, but then changed his mind and worked anyway. The second son said yes, but did not do the work.
Which son did what their father wanted? Which son represented the pharisees and which son represented the sinners who repented and followed the path to righteousness? Which son are you with respect to your faith and obedience to your Heavenly Father?
Are you the one who proclaims himself good and obedient - and prays and worships so all can see - yet whose deeds do not reflect the faith your lips proclaim? Or are you the one who may not appear to be a man of faith and obedience, yet lives by Jesus' example?
Which son do you think would please our Heavenly Father more?
