The Banquet

In the Parable of the Wedding Banquet, a king invites people to a banquet for his son, but those he invited would not come. They are too busy with other business, some even mistreated and killed the king's servants. So the king asked his servants to invite people from the streets and his hall was soon filled with guests. Then he saw one who was not wearing wedding clothes and had him tied up and thrown outside.

Many are invited but few are chosen. These words are filled with meaning. Have you been invited by God to His banquet - to hear His words and to be able to serve Him? Did you RSVP or were you too busy with worldly things to come to His feast?

And more importantly, did you prepare for the feast? Not by wearing wedding clothes, but by preparing your heart and your soul to be with God. You do not come to his feast as an obligation, just because you have to be there - you join your Heavenly Father in celebration! You want to be there and therefore you must be ready for Him to pour His divine love and wisdom into your soul.

Did you get God's invitation? Are you coming? Are you ready?
