Love: The Root of All the Commandments
Back when I was very young and our religion teacher had asked us to memorize the ten commandments, I had complained to my dad about having so many commandments to remember. He told me that in life, all I had to remember was two - "Love God above all and love your neighbors as yourself, the two greatest commandments as Jesus summarized."
My father then explained that if you can live your life by these two commandments, you would be following the ten commandments as a result. For if you love God above all, you would follow the first three and if you love your neighbors as yourself, you would follow the last seven. Love is the root of all the commandments - if you practice love, your actions will reflect good towards God and towards others - for you would not want to hurt those you love.
So give love today - it's a resource that grows more abundantly when given generously! With love, you can never go wrong...
