Wow, the people who were called to be His apostles is astounding! How much we have to learn about choosing leaders!
Let's see he picked a tax collector whose trade was a humiliation to not only his family but his heritage; he picked Simon of Cananaean who was a known revolutionist, a zealot against the government; and of course we shouldn't overlook that he hand picked Judas!
Talk about playing it risky!
I suppose this should really make us begin to rethink how we look at church leadership, both from the layman's perspective and from the church leader's perspective.
God determines who He desires to be in leadership to fulfill His plans.
