God will work in your life not because of your effort to change... But because of your effort to connect with God.

You might say God is always with us, but are we always with God? We can exist in the same room with God, but are we connecting with Him face-to-face?

God's desire is to walk with us in this life. Micah 6:8

Jesus regularly goes to a solitary / lonely place to connect with God and pray. If Jesus was perfect and all-powerful and he needed to do this to regain strength, how much more do we need to do this?

We must DAILY retreat to be solely with God. Not to just pray and read... those are just tools. But instead to be fully present with God.

4 Principles While In the Desert:
1. Be fully attuned to God's presence
2. Give God your full attention
3. Listen to God
4. Speak to God
