What commandment have I set aside?

I recently was in a conversation at school about gay rights. The discussion was, whether a same sex couple could be counseled by a christian counselor. I was not surprised when many in the group I was with said they in no way would or could find themselves counseling a gay couple.

I found myself on the other side of the argument being that people who are gay are in reality no different then straight people. We have all fallen short of the glory if God. Their point was that the agenda behind gays is that contrary to God, but I had to ask isn't everyone guilty of some type of anti-God agenda? Thats what we call sin right?

If we weren't guilty of this why would we need Jesus? The fashion industry went against Gods command not to mix threads, does that make anyone in the fashion industry incapable of receiving Christian counseling? To that I was told, "the old testament is not what we live under. We have grace. " I agree we do have grace, but Jesus himself said he did not come to wipe out the law or the prophets but to fulfill them and anyone who teaches or suggests that a single commandment is not to be followed is teaching incorrectly, to be gentle.

Just think about it. Ask God, "what commandment have I set aside and even further who am I not loving on as a result of a sin I find greater than my own?

God bless.
