Taking stones from the grown, covering them with plaster, writing the law on them and offering sacrifice on them is a picture of true worship.
God's desire is for us is to become living altars for him, where his word is written on our hearts and our lives are a living expression of worship.
Here are three ways you live out this type of worship :
1. Step out in Faith. God has a promise of a land of that flows with milk and honey for you. You have to go out and take it. It is already yours.
2. Deal with Sin. In Jesus prayer, we are to ask for forgiveness from our sins and to ask him to rescue us from it. Only though Jesus, we can be free from sin.
3. Be persistent. Jesus tells us to knock, ask and seek. Keep doing it. Don't stop. Worship is a constant knocking, asking and searching.
Moses told Joshua to build altars of stones throughout the land. Today, there are living altars throughout our land made of human hearts who love, pray and worship God. How cool is that?
