The RIGHT MOVES at the RIGHT TIME

I know that the people of God were a stubborn bunch of folks. They complained about everything from the time they left Egypt. They complained about the food God provided, about the water, about the desert... at times they even wished they had never left slavery. However, here I read about the people's obedience. When THE CLOUD of God hovered over the meeting place, they would camp out, and when THE CLOUD lifted, they would march. And there was no pattern to the madness-- Sometimes THE CLOUD would lift at "humanly-logical" times, and sometimes it would lift at "humanly inconvenient" times. No matter, tho... "It made no difference... They camped at God's command and marched at God's command. THEY LIVED OBEDIENTLY!"

I mean, it says that sometimes The Cloud would just hover two days and then start back up again. Can you imagine-- the tendency to not want to continue the march because "I am too tired." Or "We just set up camp." And then other times The Cloud would park itself for a month or a year! I think of the antsy-ness of a people without a real home having to BE STILL for up to a year itching to move on but not doing it until God directed them to.

At times He doesn't make sense to me. But HE ALWAYS KNOWS BEST. And He most definitely knows what the RIGHT MOVE is and the BEST TIME to make the move. In fact, if I listen to God I am GUARANTEED to make THE RIGHT MOVES AT THE RIGHT TIME.

God. I want to LIVE OBEDIENTLY. At times I know what you want me to do may not seem "humanly-logical." It may be downright "humanly inconvenient." But help me look past it Father. Because YOU KNOW BEST. You know when I am suppose to MOVE and when I am suppose to STAY. I say today that IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE what you want me to do, I will do it.  AMEN!
