Guilt

Usually when I mess up it involves my attitude and the fact that I reacted instead of responding to a situation. It seems that Satan really wants us to sit around in our sin and feel guilty. He wants to heap on that guilt and condemnation so that you feel unworthy of approaching the throne or unworthy of even speaking to God. I have learned after a few years of giving in to his trap, that this is the opposite of what God wants. What father wants to watch their child mope around and feel inferior? If an earthly father wouldn't want that, then our heavenly Father wouldn't either.

Romans 8:1 says that there is NO condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. NONE, NADA, ZIP!!! Yes, the Holy Spirit can convict us and show us what is right and wrong, but God does NOT condemn us and send us away. He loves us with an unfailing love. That is why we are able to come to him in awe of his greatness and mercy. He just wants us to repent and keep moving. What a great God we serve. No longer will I let the devil hold me back with guilt. Repent and it is washed away, as far as the east is from the west. Unfathomable! Thank You Jesus!
