The Formula For Church Growth
There are multitudes of resources on how to grow a church. Most of them discuss strategies that center on outreach, or maybe how business concepts apply to the church.
This is not one of those.
These verses tell plainly how to grow a church. It's not about anything other than the members becoming more like Christ, plain and simple. There's no special formula, no evangelism program, nothing. It's too simple, it seems, for most of us to grasp - and too difficult for most of us to maintain.
You see, this is one of those spiritual laws of the universe - as real and valid as the observable law of gravity. It is simply this: God calls people to salvation, but the church is the body by which the connection happens - his physical representation on earth. We are his example, for everyone to see and interact with. It is to the church, individually and corporately, that he points them to.
If you want church growth, have all members be like Jesus. The results are unavoidable.
