Abram leaves the plains of his father according to the word of the Lord, who still came down from heaven to meet with man, namely Abram. the Lord promises to bless all generations through Abrams obedience. twice on Abrams journey he built alters to God. Then they traveled into Eygpt due to famine. Abram asks his wife Sara to pretend to be his sister for she was very beautiful and Abram worried the Egyptians would kill him to get Sara. she agrees and the Pharoh takes her in and bestows on her family wealth food and animals. however the Lord plagues Pharoh and he discovers the deceit. he asks Abram to take his wife and leave Egypt and they do. notice that just by unknowingly separating man from wife causes great problems for pharoh; how much more then will a person suffer thr Lord's consequences when he or she attempts to seperate a marriage.
