Schnebsy added a text contribution Is it "From..." or is it "In..."?I had a pastor who studied Genesis 1:1 and commented on what he felt the first word could be. If you use the preposition "From the beginning," it really comes across as a continuous sweep of time. Something that has no point of beginning like the arbitrary "In the beginning..." Has anyone else looked at how the Hebrew and Greek play out in this all-important opening line? Read more »
