adrianrodriguez added a text contribution How we should liveThis small text is awesome in that it explains how we should live during our time on earth. Just because Jesus' second coming hasn't happened yet doesn't mean we should live our lives in any way we want. Even though I myself am saved, I don't think we have the right to sin even though God is not around. We should be living our lives like Jesus would want us to be living. Not reading the bible and walking away, but living God's word. Read more »

adrianrodriguez added a text contribution True FaithRight here Paul says to prepare a guest room for him, knowing confidently that God will deliver through his circumstance. I love how powerful that is, that such a man who has committed some of the worse sins is faithful enough to say that God will deliver him from a prison. I would love to have such a faith. Read more »

adrianrodriguez added a text contribution CommitmentsThis chapter speaks to me about making commitments and keeping them. I sometimes find myself making a commitment to God and not keeping it. I hate the feeling afterwards when I break it, just like when I sin. Making a commitment to the Lord is a hard thing to do, often we re-make a commitment we keep on breaking. It hurts inside, because we know God will be upset with us, but thank goodness for the mercy and forgiveness He shows us everyday. God gives us the strengths to follow through with ou… Read more »

adrianrodriguez added a text contribution Our Motto as HusbandsEven if we aren't going to be in a leader position in a church, we can still apply all of these thoughts into our daily living, because husbands and fathers are leaders. They lead their household, which should be dedicated to God, therefore is God's House. I think we just need to keep in mind that our wifes and children are lead by our example as men. When people look at a household the first impression is usually the father's impression, unless there is none. We have to set th… Read more »

adrianrodriguez added a text contribution God's loving mercy and forgiveness!I love how Paul explains in these scriptures how much he had sinned against God, and yet Jesus still forgave him. God had enough love and mercy and grace for Paul that He saved his life, even thought Paul was a blaspheming murderer. This just shows how wonderful God is and how He can love and save to the lowest of people, the worst sinners, everyone. Praise God. Read more »

adrianrodriguez added a text contribution Doing nothing for nothingNow I know why when I am just sitting around letting my brain rot all day, that I feel so guilty like I should be doing more. Or when I am playing video games, when my true passion is design and I should be designing something for the Glory of God. Or when I realize that a task is hard and I chose not to do it, then I feel terrible like I should have done something. God calls us to do something all the time. Even in those times wear nothing can be done, we should be in our word, studying, and get… Read more »

adrianrodriguez added a text contribution Praise God for JesusI think this passage of scripture, Joshua Chapter 7, really allows us to experience the truth about God and that he is a man of His word. Since we know this, that in the past our sins caused almost immediate death to us and all that we possess, we can understand today that Jesus, the sacrificial lamb is here for our sins. I think we have abused this wonderful git at many times, because we sin and sin and think that since we are forgiven, we can keep on sinning, but that is not the case. I love h… Read more »

adrianrodriguez added a text contribution Believe or don't believe.I noticed the words here, "they were not a little comforted." It makes me think, if I was there how would I have felt seeing the hand of God work in such a way. Then I think to myself, all those times my pastor, friends, or teachers would ask me, "What would YOU do if you were in this situation." I honestly don't know. Most of the time you only have a split second to make a decision in your faith. Believe or don't believe. That is a scary place. If I had been there… Read more »
