I read over it and quickly realized that the old adage "Stick and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me" may be a good thing to tell yourself or others if they find themselves on the receiving end of nasty comments but it means nothing to God. Not only is it concrete and never-changing, but he mentions that it doesn't matter what law God put forth, if he put it out there, there was a reason, and if you obey it, you will find Honor in Heaven. A sin is a sin, and by committing even the "smallest" of sins in our eyes is still viewed as a sin nonetheless in God's eyes. Read more »

Sure, I'm living my life the way I think God intends. I screw up live everyone else, but at the end of the day, the Holy Spirit convicts me when I do screw up, and I make every possible effort to correct the way I am liviing. If that prism was sitting there in the dark, you wouldn't get to see all of the beautiful colors and patterns it makes as it moves with the light shining through it. If we stop and look at these three verses we see a pretty common theme; we must accept and be happy with who we are before we can be see and expericene God.
