    These 3 verses are interesting. Different cultures have their highest ideal they are looking for. Jews were looking for signs, Greeks were looking for wisdom. As an American, I suppose I'm looking for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But none of these things give the ultimate answer to the human dilemma.     I love the fact that when our solutions to problems - our "foundations" - are destroyed, we can still turn to God who "is in his holy temple." We need not lose heart when our ideas about governmental change are not implemented. God is still on his throne. Read more »

    2 Samuel chapter 6 has always been a scary passage for me. It tells the story of a worship service gone wrong - much more wrong than sound system troubles, guitar strings breaking, hitting the wrong notes. Really wrong! God's command is that the Levites CARRY the ark, but they decide to modernize the worship and put it on a "new cart" (verse 3).
