    This is simply an irony I noticed as I was reading this section. In this encounter, the peoples of beleaguered cities had come to the king and turned his chamberlain to their side. It is simply ironic that, with all the power and prestige Herod possessed, his last moments on earth were spent with even his own chamberlain at odds with him. Read more »
