TELLING THE TRUTH: As much as we might say we always want to be told the truth, sometimes the truth hurts. but it never hurts as much as being told a lie. Telling the truth includes being honest about ourselves, about our nature, our sins and our faults. it means confessing that we aren't perfect and that we don't always do what is right before God or in felationship to others. when we lie about ourselves, we become selfdeprecating, we rarely seek ways to grow and fulfill more of oue potential. We must tell the truth to others, espescially to ourselves and God!
The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful. Proverbs 12:22

Three commands are given, trust, meaning rely on, depend on, lean not, meaning do not depend on your own native instincts, and acknowledge him, meaning have fellowship and intimacy with God in all life. the result of such devotion is that God will make the paths straight before you.
Exhortations to obedience.
