    Even though enemies seem near or even "in the camp", God has cleared them away and protects you from their attempts to attack or bother you. He already has the victory, so even when they do attack, God has you in His hands. He is your Protector, Deliverer and Emmanuel - He is with you!     I think something Paul is saying here is also that just because a foot isn't a hand, or an ear an eye, likewise, just because someone in the Body of Christ doesn't have this gift or that doesn't make them any less important as part of the Church than someone with a different spiritual gifting.     John 3:14-15 refers to the cross, but it also makes me think of our call as believers to "lift Jesus up" in our lives and to others who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ so that they can come to know Him and put their faith in Him. Read more »
