bgadoci added a text contribution How is this not reincarnation?
I just wonder what the communities thoughts are here on the idea of Elijah coming back as John the Baptist being reincarnation. Admittedly I am a novice at the Bible at this point and my assumption is that Elijah is a prophet from the old testament. Am I wrong? Read more »

A lot is said about faith and I have heard, and agree with, many who say that even if God revealed himself like this we would not be effected as we think. After all we just need to look around to see the Glory of God. With something this important I have to admit that they type of clarity that we see here is intoxicating and I can't help but wish I would experience such a thing. Read more »

bgadoci added a text contribution Asking for a Sign...
I disclaim this contribution because I have not read near enough of the bible to make a judgement here. I am wondering how sometimes it seems ok for people to ask God for a miracle and sometimes Jesus seems to get upset and leaves the inquirer with the message of only people who don't believe ask for miracles. bgadoci added a text contribution Interesting Juxtoposition Here...
In this verse we are instructed not to live as slaves to our pleasures so it can be assumed that we too are slaves to somthing (like many of us are today...money, lust, addiction, etc.) but in the prior verse it states that slaves are to obey our masters. So are only some types of "slavery" ok? Interesting. I understand the distinction but find it interesting these two are so close. Read more »

bgadoci added a text contribution How we view the world...
I like this passage. To those that believe all things are pure and of God. For those that don't they find fault in everything. Circumstance always appears against the person with an un-pure view. Read more »
