Sadly the church is always more concerned with the ninety-nine than the one lost sheep. vs. 21-35 One of greatest parables from Jesus. carpenter9 added a text contribution Daily Reading - Thursday, January 15th, 2009Gen 27:9 It's interesting that Jacob using two young goats to trick his own father, when about 10 chapters later, we see Jacob being lied to by his sons when they claim Joseph was killed. How'd they do it? They dipped his coat in blood from a .....goat. Sometimes sin has a lasting effect that is greater than we realize. Read more »

carpenter9 added a text contribution Daily Reading - Tuesday, January 13thv. 12 I keep noticing that the religious are the ones who always get offended when religious rules are broken. Jesus seems to be more concerned about our hearts. vs. 24-28 I don't know of too many other times when Jesus is actually rude to a person seeking him. This lady ask for Jesus to help and he tells her he was sent for Israel (she was Canaanite). A couple of cool things about this part. 1. We see Noah's amazing rise and fall just a few chapters earlier, and now we see Abraham (the father of the nation) screw up big time!! Let's review: 1. So what happens, God comes through and delivers on his promise. Not only that, but he also promises to never flood the Earth again! I am sure this was a special day for Noah.
