These verses are so sweet to me. I relate to them because it was God directly who taught me to praise. I did not grow up in a Christian home and at age 19 He Himself began revealing Himself to me. These verses also bring great encouragement and comfort in raising my children. It is such a relief to remember that His grace will cover where I fall short in teaching them about the Lord. Read more »

These verses chalenge me as a mom. It makes me think about how my actions affect my children...the tone I use, the way I respond to their needs, how they view my relationship with God, am I fair and just in the way I dicipline, am I doing anything to cause their hearts to lean toward sin? It is EXAUSTING to try to know everything. God has humbled me so much in the present season Im in. I am learning that I do NOT have to have it all figured out. I can just rest and say, 'You know, I don't know all the answeres, but God does and I can rest in that.' Thank you Jesus for carrying the weight of this world for me. Help me to trust you more. His ways are clear and true and fair.......and verse 11 says there is a great reward for those who obey them. Hmmm. Why oh why do I so often insist on doing things my own way instead of trusting that He knows best??? Read more »

I love the way this Psalm reminds us that our God fights for US. He loves us so much that when he hears our cry for help in our distress that He OPENS THE HEAVENS and COMES DOWN to fight on our behalf (v.9) Reaching down from heaven to rescue us out of the deep waters (v.16) But then I love too when, starting in verse 32 and on from there David talks about how God gives us that SAME strength and power to fight for OURSELVES, with HIS strength of course, but that we do not have spirit of fear… Read more »
