cleotoodlypoodle added a text contribution Which would you rather, the world or your soul?I'm going to share something I feel has been laid on my heart by God this morning. This is the following. When you die, what do you want people to say about you at your funeral? "She had so many shoes!", "He was so rich!", or "she wasn't a very good friend, but she sure was pretty..."? Those words are not what I want said about me. I want my legacy to be more important than shoes, money, or beauty. How about these? "he had such good charecter!&quo… Read more »

cleotoodlypoodle added a text contribution God is with youPsalm 91 is probably my favorite Psalm. Underneath the title that says "Psalm 91", it says "Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord". And that captures the main point of this particular Psalm. It is all about how, if you are firmly planted in the Lord, you can withstand anything with and through Him. This is such an encouraging Psalm. Sometimes, however, people use versions they cannot understand or do not grasp the intended ideas. This is when reaing your Bible gets bor… Read more »

cleotoodlypoodle added a text contribution The Voice of Truth; 1 Timothy 2:10I am the type of person that is inspired by music. I love music so much, and I love that there is cool Christian music that you can listen to and it's not all for an older generation. I, being a teenager, would rather listen to rock than old hymns, so I'm so glad that there's Christian Rock that I can worship to. One of the songs that really grabbed my attention is called "Voice of Truth" by Casting Crowns. It talks about how there are so many voices calling out your n… Read more »

cleotoodlypoodle added a text contribution Be genuine for GodThis verse shows the importance of actually caring when you tell someone about Jesus. Don't just talk the talk, walk the walk. The verse talks about how you should reach out to others, stoop down and share their burdens. They want to feel like someone genuinely cares, not just that they want you to come to their church. Think about it. If you just lost your best friend in a car crash or if you were financially in need or if you were low on self-confidence, which would you rather have: some… Read more »

cleotoodlypoodle added a text contribution Really, a crutch? Some say religion is just a crutch for the weak minded. This proves that they are truly weak minded, because when you break your leg, you need crutches, right? You can't just go hobbling around, trying to walk. This is what they are trying to do. They are trying to limp around without God, and it's not working, where the Christians of this world are walking with God, and its getting them somewhere, somewhere truly awesome. Somewhere like Heaven. If you try to limp around on your own,… Read more »

cleotoodlypoodle added a text contribution Job 39:13; 1 Timothy 2:9-10 -- uselessness of beautyPeople nowadays always focus on the outward appearence. We judge people on the amount of beauty (or lack of beauty) we have. All the popular kids in High School are beautiful. Some of the less pretty kids might feel pressure sometimes to become more beautiful. Maybe they feel they have to spend more money on the latest fashions as opposed to saving for something worthwhile. But God makes it clear that beauty isn't as important as charecter. When Jesus came to earth as a human, he didn'… Read more »

cleotoodlypoodle added a text contribution Mark 12:30 -- loveMark 12:30 says to Love God, but rather than stop there, the writer goes on. Instead of just saying "love God", it says to love him with all your passion, prayer, intellegence, and energy. What does this mean? Think about this: when you pray, do you ask for material goods the whole time instead of praising the Creator? Or, do you think bad thoughts about a co-worker or sibling? Maybe you're jealous of Suzy's new handbag. The one you have wanted forever, but can't afford.… Read more »
