daveanthold added a text contribution Noah's ZooI can only image what Noah thought about as God gave him the instructions for the ark and then told him to grab two of every kind of animal. First, just gathering the animals - that would be a chore, but actually keeping the right ones away from each other - that's another story. We have trouble corralling our dogs & cats, and yet Noah had lions and tigers and bears, oh my! His faithfulness showed... Read more »

daveanthold added a text contribution Enoch & GodIn Genesis 5, we begin to see the decline of age for people as the result of the Fall; however, God chose Enoch to live a relatively short life (365 years) and then take him home (heaven). He sees what we need, when we need it and those two ideas don't always meet at the same time. I am still waiting for my "suitable helper" in God's timing. Read more »

daveanthold added a text contribution RecognitionI found it interesting that Lot recognized the angels that came to his house that day? How were they distinguishable? Did they have a glow? Did they smell "holy"? What was it that Lot "saw"? I don't know what it was. Maybe God just gave that insightful recognition to Lot. My question is: can I recognize God in everyday things? If not, why? What am I missing? Just something to chew on today. Read more »
