    This will be a "contribution" and a question for the community as well. I guess the root of my opinion on bitterness goes back to Genesis 3:12 where Adam blames "...the woman whom thou gavest to me..." for his sin of eating the "forbidden" fruit. My "thesis" is that ALL bitterness is at it's core directed towards God, and if we can come to the place of admitting that to Him and ourselves, then only can we continue to grow and mature as Christians.
