jabberfrog added a text contribution A Daily PrayerI've had this scripture posted on my mirror for more than a year. It's become an active daily prayer. A reminder to 'roll' my works on to the Lord. Knowing that when I do, my plans succeed. Not for my benefit. Not for my glory. In fact, when I 'roll' my work on to Him, He aligns my thoughts with His. As my thoughts become His thoughts I see things as He sees things. In turn, my plans become His plans. Read more »

jabberfrog added a text contribution Doing vs. BeingA tree planted beside the stream does not have to work to remain healthy. It doesn't have to work to produce fruit. Green leaves and fruit are an organic offspring of it's relationship to the stream. It is a product of life. My efforts to 'do' things for Christ or His Kingdom are as if I'm a parched tree miles from water trying to squeeze out some fruit... or even a green leaf. Fruits of the Spirit have less to do with my efforts and more to do with Gods Spirit flow… Read more »

This living hope must invade every aspect of my life, wrapping itself around every trial and testing in which I find myself. This 'living hope" is what I cling to as God leads me through the fire.
