jaredtbowie added a text contribution Don't got itWe do not have because we do not ask God. When we ask, we do not receive because we have the wrong motives - we ask for self-pleasure. So: 1) Ask God 2) Ask God with the right motives = good stuff! Read more »

jaredtbowie added a text contribution Held backGod is holding back the powers of darkness through Jesus Christ. He is doing this to reach more and more and more and save more and more and more. He's wanting to release more people from tears and fears, everything that hurts their hearts. He's wanting to help more people stand. Let's join. Because Christ will be taken out of the way at some point in the not-so-distant future. After all, we must remember that our days are no longer than the breadth of one of our hands... Read more »

jaredtbowie added a text contribution Worship(Focus verse = Matthew 17:1-5) I find myself in this position all the time. This very idea is what God has been working in me. "IT'S NOT ABOUT YOUR ACTIONS, JARED!" "WORSHIP IS NOT BY ACTIONS! WORSHIP IS NOT BY WORK!" I keep trying too hard to push and worship God with actions. But when I do, I tend to take the focus on God away. Scripture does not say, "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship with actions." No, Scripture says (in Luke 4): G… Read more »

jaredtbowie added a text contribution conditional salvation? answeredmewithoutyou (post tagged with verses Mt. 6:14&15), you said, "some people use these verses to support their belief that salvation is not based on accepting Jesus. it seems like a legitimate argument. can someone please clarify this for me?" That argument is actually very dangerous and wrong. The argument may seem valid, but it is not. You see, we can't be forgiven by the Father if we don't know the Father. And we can't know the Father unless we have a personal rel… Read more »

jaredtbowie added a text contribution You cannot serve both God and Money.“…You cannot serve both God and Money.” “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.” We tend to serve who/what provides for us and makes us feel secure. The truth is many of us find our security in money and believe it is what provides us just that. We tend to look at money as our provider. I believe that’s why it’s given the capital “M” in the NIV. When Jesus said, “You cannot serve both God and Money...” he immediate… Read more »

jaredtbowie added a text contribution Jewish TraditionIt was the Jewish (or Hebrew) tradition back in the day to repeat words in order to stress how important something was. To say something twice was stress enough, to say it three times was nearly unheard of (in text), but here it is said FOUR (that is 4, cuatro, vier) times. STRESSED was how much we should SING PRAISES TO GOD, OUR KING. For He is the King of all the earth...sing to Him. (v. 7) Now, Sing praises to Him now. Think of where He is and then where you are (v. 8)......and how He cares… Read more »
