    Such an interesting sequence of ideas. Don't be controlled by anger. That is sin.     Psalm 141: 3-4 (NLT) Take control of what I say, O Lord, and guard my lips. Don't let me drift toward evil or take part in acts of wickedness.     This 'light' analogy has always fascinated me. Jesus calls us 'light' and tells us to take that light into the world. He's assuming we understand that there is darkness without him. He's assuming we understand that when we follow him, when we carry his Spirit in us, our movement into the world will bring His light.     Jesus has saved us through his death and resurrection, once.. and for all. Period. We. Are. Saved. But, in the Message version of v.5 we read: "don't lose a minute in building on what you've been given" If salvation is the ultimate gift to which nothing can be added, what's with the 'building on what you've been given' language?
