  Jesus' brothers didn't believe in him at this point. Many tripped over Jesus' childhood in Galilee and supposedly not being from Bethlehem. It strikes me odd that Jesus doesn't engage the argument and say "see I'm from Bethlehem, that was where I was born, but I had to leave quickly from there".   If God said to me "Ask for whatever you want me to give you." what would I ask for? Would it be wisdom. I could think of hundreds of things I would ask for. Maybe my mortgage to be paid off, maybe more money than I have, maybe happiness for myself and everyone around me. Having read this story many times, maybe now I would ask for wisdom, but would that be my first inclination? I'm not sure.... Read more »
