kadams720 added a text contribution Don't Call Anyone...Don't call anyone "master" cause were brothers, "father" because we have one father in heaven, "teacher" because Christ is our teacher. Master has certainly gone out of vogue, but father & teacher are used every single day by probably everyone on the planet. I don't think it is about the words or titles but the seeking after titles and the exalting of one above another other. It's not really about the words we use, its about being equals. kadams720 added a text contribution Lawful to healI think this is an amazing question. It is such a cynical question. Did they really believe Jesus could heal? If they did. Why would they seek to accuse him by "tempting" him to display his power to heal? And if he did heal (as he did) what good would the accusation be that he is a sabbath breaker, if God honored him by healing the man on the Sabbath. Hearts must be pretty hard if after an undisputed miracle they would go out and conspire against him to destroy him. Read more »
