I love reading the Proverbs. Truly, they tell me where I missed the "mark" and where others have done much better than I.

1st Corinthians and Love

Paul is very clear - Love is all. I also read this morning that, if were love as we are commanded, we have fulfilled all the law.

1 Peter 4

I sometimes think we, who call ourselves Christian, are not doing what we should to tell others the Good News. I think if we did, there would be many more Christians.

Peter and Numbers

Numbers 23 and Peter 1:1 - need to review in commentary. Peter speaks of what sounds like predestination.

James, Chapter 4

All of this part of his letter sounds like the Gospel. The last verse is especially poignant.

James

What James writes is very strong, but so very true. We can see that God is speaking through him. To be a Jew in the time of Moses until Jesus was really difficult. God required much of the Chosen People.

Colossians is very good regarding our relationships.

Creed

Much of what we find in the Nicene Creed about Jesus is in Colossians. Shows the great influence Paul has had on Christianity.
