  When Eve was misled by the serpent, she followed the serpent's leading and used a plain name for God--there was no covenant implied...and got into trouble. Now in Genesis 4, we see her saying God's most holy name, Yahweh. She had repented and God's name is to be honored. It puts everything into perspective. Read more »

  I hadn't previously noticed that God said the only the light was good, not both day and night. Light --referring to more than just day, but also salvation, knowledge and life... Even then Satan was present in the darkness Read more »
