marriageman added a link contribution New Heaven and a New EarthThat's right! Not some vague ghostly existence that we can't understand or explain. The Bible tells us that God is going to restore the Earth to how it was in the garden of Eden (see Acts 3:21). That means that Satan did not win. God wins by restoring things to how He wanted them in the beginning. Our bodies will also be restored (see 1 Corinthians 15:35-58 and Romans 8). All of this is covered at TheRealHeaven.com. marriageman added a link contribution Until He Restores Everything! At one time Adam and Even lived in a beautiful garden. Then sin entered the world and messed things up. But Jesus saved us and is going to restore what we had in that beautiful garden. That's how God intended it. The Bible talks about us receiving a New Earth (Revelation 21). The concept that we'll be "in the clouds" playing harps or whatever is NOT Biblical. So take a look at TheRealHeaven.com to learn about what Heaven is really going to be like! Read more »

marriageman added a link contribution The New EarthMost of Romans 8 is talking about salvation. It talks about Jesus being the "first fruit" of the new human. It says that even the creation is waiting on redemption and that our bodies will be resurrected. That's a far cry from the vague stories of playing some harp while sitting on a cloud when we die. There's a book callled, The Real Heaven, that talks about this passage and others and gives us a picture of Heaven that, honestly, is very excited for me to think about! Take… Read more »

marriageman added a link contribution Fellowship and Do Life Together! We need each other! Christians are told to encourage each other, instruct, pray for and even to rebuke each other. That takes a lot of time and relationship building. It doesn't just have to be local people in your local church. It can be with Christians from around the world. One place where I get fellowship from Christians from all over the place is the link I have here. Obviously this is a great place too. The forum I'm linking to has some of the best discussion and fellowship I… Read more »

marriageman added a link contribution Christian FellowshipThere's a message forum I go to a lot where folks discuss spiritual issues and pray for each other. It's fun and it's good for me. We share each others burdens. There's a prayer request section in addition to all the discussion areas. I thought some of you might like to get involved. Read more »

marriageman added a link contribution Christian ForumsIron sharpens Iron says the proverb. I've learned that it's important for me to surround myself with people who share my goals or who have achieved them. So I try to surround myself with godly men and women. Secondary things are financial success, physical success (in that they take care of their body) and other areas where I want to be influenced by those who work hard to be successful. I try to fellowship as much as I can with God's people. They keep me sharp. They hold me acc… Read more »

marriageman added a link contribution Love Within MarriageI've worked with marriage relationships where it wasn't as simple as telling them to love each other. Love is difficult to turn on like a light switch. Though many try because they want to honor God and honor their commitment. Sometimes married couples need help. I estimate that 65 percent of marriages need professional help. Not because either of them are crazy or wicked. But because a neutral third party who seeks God's will and has researched relationships can help just about a… Read more »

marriageman added a link contribution Marriage Should Be Honored By AllMarriage should be honored by all, including those of us in a marriage relationship. A good marriage doesn't just happen. It takes commitment, knowledge and most importantly prayer. If your marriage isn't living up to what God desires for it, seek help from a ministry who studies and researches relationships full time. I've linked to it. Read more »
