njdawg added a text contribution Luke 24:25-27Verses 25 & 26 seem to be condemning of these men. Jesus calls them foolish (being like fools) because they had a hard time believing the prophets. Yet in verse 27 he walks them through the prophecies and explains them to them. This is very interesting since many believers have no problem doing verses 25 & 26 but forget 27. Read more »

You have one group that sees Jesus in action and kicks him out of own out of fear only to have him come to a town that embraces based on only hearing what he has done. So much that a women can be healed by just reaching out and touching him. I wonder how many times I see Jesus in action and kick him out of my life out of fear? I would bet it is more than how many times I reach out to him based on just hearing what he has done. Read more »

njdawg added a text contribution If you are willing....I struggle with the concept of "faith healing." I have a son with many medical issues. I have gone to the Lord many time simply saying "If you are willing please heal him"...Yet I wait to hear "I am willing, he is healed." I have seen many miracles in his life but he is not healed. Why? Is it lack of faith, or is it something else..... Read more »

njdawg added a text contribution Different Examples of Faith in Action from a dummyI think it is interesting how the Lord spoke to two people in the passage and they had different reactions to what He told them. One acted very skeptical about what was said and simply replied "I am the Lord's servant. May everything you have said about me come true." The first, Zechariah, was stricken dumb (without speech) and the second was blessed with a magnificent song of praise.
