    Jesus has just recruited 4 disciples - a third of his "team". Did he go looking for guys with their specific skills? Two sets of brothers. Is that coincidence or purpose? What must have gone through the minds of Peter, Andrew, James and John? Were they looking to escape the daily grind of fishing?     If taking a true day off is good enough for God, then I should do the same. I did a better job of truly resting - taking a Sabbath - in 2008, but still need to refine this skill. In 2009, I really want to take days off that don't involve work. On these days I will spend quality time with my wife and boys. In The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey, he talks about sharpening the saw. I need to sharpen the saw more often so I can be more effective in all that I do. Read more »
