There wasn't simply one way to get his attention....he saw their hearts - he knew their motives and because of their faith he responded in love. The army officer had faith that it would simply take Jesus "saying the word" and his servant would be healed. pastorgdawg added a text contribution Was Jesus guilty of watering down the message?Over the past years there have been many people who have chosen to judge other ministries, churches and individuals for "watering down" the gospel of Christ. they lob bombs filled with cries of heresy, envy and judgmental attitudes. My question is why? Have they bothered to look at the Scriptures an dhow Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God? My first response tends to be selfish in nature...I know Solomon already had tons of wealth...but at the same time we know that when you acquire much the need for wanting more tends to come into play. So what would you ask for? That which lasts for a temporary amount of time? Or that which outlives us into eternity? Read more »
