    Since Joy is related to the Strength of God's Spirit within the believer, in such passages as Nehemiah 8:10, Psalm 21:1, could it not be that Joy is one of God's purposes for His child? As Nehemiah points out, realization of truth will produce mourning. Our "bones are broken" that they may rejoice.     Three times the Psalmist laments, "How Long"! Without a true perspective of eternity, (an ever-present now), in 21st century culture, we tend to gravitate to instant gratification, or procrastination. Chosen praise, at the end of this Psalm, reflects the privilege that Redemption in Christ provides. (Psalm 22, versus the cry of God-forsakenness on the cross). Praise is God's "address"! Read more »
