Treasures in Jars of Clay! Not everyone's treasure is the same, so many don't seek what God has for them. God has hidden so many wonderful things for us to find! I expect He smiles and laughs when we discover these treasures. V.1 is telling us it is our purpose always to seek and that the things we learn, give up, do and find are part of the treasure; so don't give up the search. Seekers of the... Read more »

pedgell added a text contribution Lord Be Glorified ~NOW~
John 17: 1-5 Jesus has fulfilled His purpose and has glorified His father in every way. He didn't give up, He didn't balk at what needed to be said or done, He didn't back away from pain or humiliation, He didn't just do a half way life. He fully loved, He fully embraced everything God gave Him, He fully did everything His father asked of Him, He fully praised and glorified God even in the face... Read more »

We find our example of Him in God's word; making ourselves not of this world and that being safe from evil depends on our commitment to Christ and truth in His word. Jesus Christ, by His sacrifice sends us into the world to teach the truth. (v. 16-18) Being Holy then is daily "right action" to it's... Read more »

pedgell added a text contribution Daily living
Psalm 91:14-16 confirm to me that in our consistent daily walk with God He is very close to us. He is always within our reach and we are always within His care. These verses (especially 16) imply that in our obediance and care for ourselves, in our salvation through Christ, and in our daily trust in Him, He will honor us with "blessings" (His version of blessings!! Wow!!!) and a long life. He's... Read more »
