Israel rests from war

How to get to where we want to go

And don't for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you'll get where you're going; then you'll succeed.

Stay focus

Give it everything you have, heart and soul. Make sure you carry out The Revelation that Moses commanded you, every bit of it. Don't get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you're going.

Be strong b/c God is ahead of us

Key to our life!

You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

God's instruction is not too difficult or hard to grasp

“This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you to understand, and it is not beyond your reach.

God will bring us back from banishment

Even though you are banished to the ends of the earth, the LORD your God will gather you from there and bring you back again.

Don't ignore people who are in need when you can give

When you happen on someone who's in trouble or needs help among your people with whom you live in this land that god, your God, is giving you, don't look the other way pretending you don't see him. Don't keep a tight grip on your purse. No. Look at him, open your purse, lend whatever and as much as he needs. Don't count the cost. Don't listen to that selfish voice saying, "It's almost the seventh year, the year of All-Debts-Are-Canceled," and turn aside and leave your needy neighbor in the lurch, refusing to help him. He'll call god's attention to you and your blatant sin.

No poor people I encounter. I won't owe money but will lend money.

Deuteronomy 15:4-6 (MSG)
There must be no poor people among you because god is going to bless you lavishly in this land that god, your God, is giving you as an inheritance, your very own land. But only if you listen obediently to the Voice of god, your God, diligently observing every commandment that I command you today. Oh yes—god, your God, will bless you just as he promised. You will lend to many nations but won't borrow from any; you'll rule over many nations but none will rule over you.

We come from God

1 John 4:4 (MSG)
My dear children, you come from God and belong to God. You have already won a big victory over those false teachers, for the Spirit in you is far stronger than anything in the world. These people belong to the Christ-denying world. They talk the world's language and the world eats it up. But we come from God and belong to God. Anyone who knows God understands us and listens. The person who has nothing to do with God will, of course, not listen to us. This is another test for telling the Spirit of Truth from the spirit of deception.

Do what God says don't add or take away

Diligently do everything I command you, the way I command you: don't add to it; don't subtract from it.

Once we get to where God leads us He will give us rest

But the minute you cross the Jordan River and settle into the land God, your God, is enabling you to inherit, he'll give you rest from all your surrounding enemies. You'll be able to settle down and live in safety.

We have to walk down the road He shows us

So it's paramount that you keep the commandments of god, your God, walk down the roads he shows you and reverently respect him. god is about to bring you into a good land, a land with brooks and rivers, springs and lakes, streams out of the hills and through the valleys. It's a land of wheat and barley, of vines and figs and pomegranates, of olives, oil, and honey. It's land where you'll never go hungry—always food on the table and a roof over your head. It's a land where you'll get iron out of rocks and mine copper from the hills.

God tests us so we can live well in the days ahead

the God who gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never heard of, in order to give you a taste of the hard life, to test you so that you would be prepared to live well in the days ahead of you.

Our path thru the wilderness, He is testing us. He provides His word to sustain us

Remember every road that God led you on for those forty years in the wilderness, pushing you to your limits, testing you so that he would know what you were made of, whether you would keep his commandments or not.

What God will do if we keep His commands

And this is what will happen: When you, on your part, will obey these directives, keeping and following them, god, on his part, will keep the covenant of loyal love that he made with your ancestors: He will love you, he will bless you, he will increase you.

God is loyal. Keeps His promise

Write these commandments that I've given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates.

Love God w whole heart

Listen obediently, Israel. Do what you're told so that you'll have a good life, a life of abundance and bounty, just as god promised, in a land abounding in milk and honey.

Love god, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that's in you, love him with all you've got!

If we listen and do God says we would have a good life.

Parents held responsible for children!

Don't bow down to them and don't serve them because I am God, your God, and I'm a most jealous God. I hold parents responsible for any sins they pass on to their children to the third, and yes, even to the fourth generation.
