    Don't be afraid just believe. Why do I act like those of little faith? Jesus is capable of meeting my deepest need but I continue to worry. What profit do I get from worry? Faith is something I can experience which brings proof of what I cannot see. It is the substance of things hoped for because faith brings Glory to God. Faith says I trust you God. You are capable of bringing my provision. It requires surrender and dependency that God will provide in His way not my way.… Read more »

    How often are we caught off guard by how capable we really are of sin? Don't I know how clearly God has said in His word who I am apart from Him? It's as if we have a hard time accepting the truth about who we really are inside. Until I realize my deep rooted capacity and inclination for selfishness (evil) I will never cry out for a deliverer.     I heard a preacher come on the TV Sunday morning and he was talking about this verse. I was struck by my memory of previous revelations God has given me about Faith being "the substance" of things hoped for. I thought about how "substance" means that you really have something real or weighty. This is almost the opposite of what people usually refer to as 'faith".     When I get caught up in the ordinary routine of life and the busy activity of day to day it is easy to forget that the world as I know it will one day be radically altered.     The irony of God's chosen people is that they where the very ones who hung Him on a cross. They missed his every sign and demonstrated how not to do things more than how to do things.
