    One of the things I'm most careful with is trying to follow my calling. Of course, knowing your calling is not always a luxury you have. Paul's calling was obvious; to preach to the gentiles. His view of his own calling was so clear and commanding that he deemed it woeful to not continually follow through on it. Read more »

    What a great example of a guy without balls, making decisions based on fear and completely falling away from God's standard. Also, notice that Pharaoh was the one that suffered from Abraham's fearful decision. Church leaders, choosing fear over courage hurts those around you more than it hurts you.     What a passage! Jesus lays down the smack on the scribes and Pharisees. He calls them out for exactly what they are. Here's a listing of the indictments: * They don't practice what they preach. * They tie heavy burdens on people that they themselves can't bear. * They do their deeds to be seen and exalted by men. * They seek honor. * They shut the Kingdom in people's faces. * They travel far for the sake of proselytizing, but end up creating more hypocrites like themselves. *… Read more »

    I've heard a couple interpretations of this passage. One, which I hold to, is that these folks who are cast out are non-believers cast out at the Great White Throne judgment. The other, which I don't hold to, is that these are believers that are cast out because their works (which constitute the wedding garment) were lacking causing them to be cast into darkness for eternity.
