罗得，挑选了最肥沃的地区，渐渐地不喜欢住在帐篷，而搬入所多玛，住在那个充满罪恶的城市里面。因为亚伯拉罕为他求情，上帝派天使把他领出来才毁灭这个城市。但，今天的经文，我觉得罗得用谎言来行义。而且非常的荒谬，明明有女婿了，还说两个女儿是处女，竟然用自己的女儿由人蹂躏，还要延迟不走。总之，在今天的经文里面，我看到了对俗世的留恋，他的女婿，妻子，包括他。今天的我们或许也是如此类似，留恋这世上的所有财物。审判来的时候，你预备好了吗？

十一奉献是要交的，但爱神和行公义的事更是要做的。我们须要防止像那些法利赛人一样，自表虔诚，内心却自私冷酷。我们履行信仰的义务，却不是为了得到人的称赞。也不能拿履行这些义务，作为逃避孝敬父母，养育儿女、服侍他人需要的借口。神清楚我们的心，不要心怀侥幸，尽力去跟从耶稣说的：尽心尽意尽力爱神，和爱邻舍如同自己，像由心发。
