Throughout the gospel we see one underlyning truth, Jesus offended some people. Mainly the most religious folks, the pharisees, It seems the more we live like Christ the more and more people will be offended of the truth you speak, start criticizing your teaching, or try to stop what God has set you out to do. Just recently read a blog post from Mark Batterson that just encapsulates this moment http://evotional.com/2009/08/thou-shalt-offend-pharisees.html Has my life offended anyone? Read more »

santz85 added a text contribution Learn from it
As a good son i would get disciplined by my good father. Although I didn't understand why he would discipline me in that matter I realized that he was teaching me a lesson. Every discipline that my earthly father gave me, you better bet I learned something from it. So it gets me thinking, "what have i learned from my heavenly fathers discipline?" or "Am i even getting disciplined?" the latter verse goes on to say that his true children get disciplined by THE father. santz85 added a text contribution Saul where are you?
I believe there has been a broken link in the discipleship cycle. Leaders (Barnabas) are not looking for Saul's in there life. We have stopped searching and so we have stopped duplicating and multiplying. Saul where are you? I will find you and pour my wisdom in you, because i know you will be 100 times better than me. santz85 added a text contribution Mans plans vs. Gods plans
The first 2 verses explain mans plans, but now we see Jesus' plans and definitely J.C's plans overtake any plans that you and i may have. Our no will never compare to his YES. Read more »

santz85 added a text contribution GET UP & GO
A lesson of evangelism is taught here by Jesus. I know he has said it throughout the gospels but just in case we didn't get it yet, he repeats himself to Ananias. Jesus tells him to "GET UP & GO to the street..." if anyone is going to come to church it's going to take christians such as Ananias, You, and me to GET UP & GO! go to where unsaved people are. and yes we may put up several excuses just like Ananias but that is our job. Don't miss out on telling others… Read more »

santz85 added a text contribution LORD?
It blows my mind how Saul responds to Jesus, he calls him "LORD" that word lord is a title of great honor, great respect, great reverance that a slave greets his master with. Saul wanted nothing to do with Jesus or christianity yet here we see Saul acknowledge the power of christ. Is he Lord of my life? Read more »

    santz85 added a text contribution don't be...
Two things: laziness and negligent. Although i try to be neither of these 2 i definitely have found myself to be lazy in several areas of my life. I have also found myself neglecting things that will prevent me to fail. I at times try to get so close to the line, so close that i'm not quite over the line but i am flirting with it. Read more »

santz85 added a text contribution Truth
This verse will always bring me back to my 1st year in Masters Commission. I had never really read this verse in its entirety. I mean in MC I discovered who i am. I thought i never could speak, i thought i could never act in a human video, i thought my testimony wasn't powerful, but in fact all those were truths that lay hidden in lies of fears and doubts. The truth set me free and now I can speak the truth and live the truth. The true word of God is calling you out to freedom. Read more »

santz85 added a text contribution Why arent they believing?
As a potential minister, I know it is hard when the people you preach to dont come to know or believe in Jesus. but as i read this i saw one thing that before vs 30 happened vs 29 had to have happened. "And He who sent Me is with Me, he has not left Me alone..." this first part shows that as a preacher I have to know that He is always with Me but not just that but my life has to be in a consistent relationship with Him, I in Him and He in me. the second part is "...For i ALWAYS do… Read more »
