I don't know how many foolish thing I have done which might have been prevent if I had only known and remembered what God teaches in His word. seelsorger added a text contribution DesireIs the word "desire" here a positive (motivated by love) kind of desire or is it the kind of desire that seeks what it can't have? Is this desire about seeking something that belongs to someone else? Look also at Genesis 4:7 for the same word. Here sin seeks to "have him". This sounds like a negative motive and thus God makes the warning. Read more »
