Galatians 5:22-23
Galatians 5:22-23 (MSG)
But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.Created 6 months ago

I know the plans I have for you
This passage reminds me of Jeremiah 29:11... Here we see a real example of God's plans for someone being revealed. We must believe that God has a plan for us just the same.

Come back to me?
This is God's continuous call to us: come back to me. Not just calling us from other gods, but from other "stuff" that consumes us.

Impatient
When God doesn't work on our schedule, how often do we take matters into our hands and make our own gods? OR: we make ourselves gods. Wait on the Lord.

Who's the greatest?
I can imagine how this conversation played out in my head... "I would never do something like that. Me neither. No way.that's horrible. We're all so good. I wonder which of us is the greatest." And there…

All else will be added.
This reminds of me of Luke 12:31 -- seek first the kingdom of God and all else will be added to you. This is like having a front row seat to see how that plays out. Pretty cool!
