O: God is expressing how much care he gives to birds and animals and comparing that with how his love for them pales in comparison to his love for humankind.     S: Matthew 10: 19-20 O: When troubling times come, if we listen, God is ready to give us the answers we need. A: For me this scripture is about reminding me of the importance of always listening to the Holy Spirit. Being aware of him in my every day life. I don't often come up against trials as difficult as being arrested, but when tough times come, I find it hard to hear the voice of God, because I haven't been used to hearing it in my daily activities.     S: Matthew 12: 12-13 O: Jesus came to heal those who needed healing and to save those who needed saving no matter the cost or his reputation. A: I think this verse to me is a reminder that no one is above or below God's love. There are those kind of people that when they come to your church for the first time, you don't automatically want to run up to them and give them a big hug and talk about Jesus' love.     S: Matthew 7: 14 "But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it." O: That despite the gate being hard to find, and the pathway through the gate is difficult -- it's still the gateway to LIFE. A: This verse is a little bit harsh, but I think it's a good reminder that few can find the gate and walk the road by themselves.
