    Proverbs 6:34 "For jealousy arouses a husband's fury, and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge." God is a jealous god. He wants us to remember that he is the one worthy to be praised. But in this passage, Herod allowed everyone to view him as God, which was his destruction. God wants our love and praise. If we don't give it to him, we will ultimately be destroyed, not because he's vengeful, but because we refuse to glorify who he is. It's our choice. Read more »
