tj1983 added a text contribution Writing someone's story...It says, "This is the story of Jacob. Joseph..." Its interesting that Jacob's story is written by Joseph's actions. The story has nothing to do with Jacob. But he is defined by Joseph's story. Often, religion points to past stories and traditions. Jacob's story is about the future and what WILL happen. This seems contrary to modern ministry where sermons/lessons are produced at best, in a vaccum, or at worst, as a result of the minister's own problems, never taking into account the problems our audience may be facing. Never trust a sheppard that doesn't smell like sheep. Read more »
