    I'm struck by three things in the verse. 1. Matthew says this is "a record." God keeps records. He remembers things. He remembers people and places and events. We tend to forget so much of our lives but God doesn't forget. He remembers. 2. "A descendant of David..." God has a plan. God always has a plan and He is forever working His great plans.
