Genesis cain/ noah
The Lord is talking to Cain- He is giving him a chance to repent, offering him a way out. And Cain rejects this offer. It is so sad, and so like the human condition to turn our back on the Lord when we feel as if our "axe to grind" is legitimate. We need to realize that the Lord is Greater, More Powerful and In Control. If the Lord says to me< Why are you angry?, like he says to Cain and later on to Jonah- I would do well to take a step back and take a long hard look at my heart's motives and see if they are in line with My Saviour's heart!
What great faith Noah had to have. Thank You Jesus, for your amazing grace. To build a huge boat - his faith had determination, trust, and his character was that - he believed in the word of the Lord and did not let the words of others or his own disbelief sway him from the task that the Lord Almighty had placed in him! He was the only one that found favor in the eyes of the Lord. That is an amazingly sad and yet uplifting thought. Through the world at least one was true to his Lord and through him , mankind was able to survive. When the Lord looks upon the Earth today my prayer is that he sees me and finds me faithful. SONG: Steve GreenWood- may all who come behnd us find us faithful.
