Spiritual Support Team

Role Details:

Be the first point of contact for people in our YouVersion Community reaching out for spiritual support.

Making a difference isn’t just for pastors or church leaders—it’s for everyone! All you need is a prayerful, humble heart and a desire to serve.

During volunteer onboarding, you will go through a training process to learn how to use our tools.

Serving opportunities include:

• Spiritual Responder: You will pray for people who reach out with requests and give Biblical encouragement, along with tips, tools, and resources, to those who are struggling.
• Prayer Community: You will pray over submitted prayer requests during your personal time with God.

Minimum Requirements:

• You must be fluent in the English language.
• You must be 18 years of age or older.

Serving Expectations:

• You must be committed to walking with Jesus.
• You will need a device with internet access.
• You will need to stay connected to your Volunteer Team to develop relationships and stay informed of helpful information.
• Spiritual Responders must commit to responding to at least five prayer requests each week using two-way email communication.
• Prayer Community members must commit to spending time each week praying for the requests that have been shared by the Team Leader and responding using one-way email communication.
